NEW HAVEN, Feb. 13.—-lt is expect-
ed that the recent divisional changes
and concentration of service on the
New York, New Haven and Hartford
railroad will re'sult in economies
amounting to about $100,000 a year. A
prominent ofiicer of the read referring
to the changes, calls attention It) the
fact that the New Haven system has
Ior many years been made up of a
large number of lines, many of them
subsidiary and branch roads which
have for years been operated out of
harmony with the system as a.whole.
The changes just made, he says. are
intended to rectify permanently these
