' Sheriff Argued Today.
HARTFORD, Jan. 8.——Bcfore the
Supreme Court of Errors today be
case of James 13‘. Cavanaugh et. a1. vs.
Frank 1’. Marble, a deputy sheriff of
New Hartford, was argued on the
plaintiffs appeal. The litigation is
the outgrowth of the attachment of
three horses connected with Lucien
Minstrels, which were replevined by
the plaintiff.
The other Litchfield county case ar-
gued was the defendant’s appeal in the
suit of Turney Soule vs. Andrew Bor-
elll.
The Windham county case of Della
Cutler, administratrix of the estate of
her husband, P. D. Cutler, vs. the Put-
nam Light and Power Company, will
be heard on the defendant’s appeal
late this afternoon, probably. *Mr.
Cutler was a lineman employed by the
Connecticut company. and lost his life
by coming in contact. with a We wire,
the property of the defendant, His
wile Willi nWarded damages of 85,000 .

sharp gains were recorded before the
liquidation of the American Sugar and
Northern Pacific resulted in the entire
list falling sharply. American Sugar
