Michael Sullivan got out of jail only
Saturday morning. and be was so hap
py that he came brick home to South
Norwalk and celebrated by getting
tlrunk.‘ Sullivan was a nuisance on
the street Saturday night, and Cup-
lain William R. Pennington locked
him up. Breach of the peace and
drunkenness were the charges put up
against. him.
.lutlgv Taylor nominated a sentence
of thirty days more in Bridgeport jail
for Michael, but that gentleman said
he would get out of town if he had a
chance and the judge gave him one.

only the carrying of pistols less than

meet a noisy setter dog in the night-
time on equal terms. so to speak. The
man who "totes a pistol" only once in
live years suffers no twinges of coil-
science when he carries it that one
time to shoot an obstreperous pup
with. Legislation in South Carolina
falls to effect reforms to the need of
which public sentiment has never iwtvn

t of the law against selling
