New York. New Havenand Hartford
Railroad Company and the American
Railway Association ’ov'er the fifty
pent per diem rate it is officially stut-
ed here that the latest proposition on
the part of the New Haven Company
was for an equal interchange of cars
and one dollar per car reclaim, this
reclaim being based upon the per diem
for the two days and being due to the
four days demurrage law of the state

necting companies continue to deliver
cars on which they say they will
charge a “reasonable rate"

New Haven road it is likely that otheI
claims for a reduced rate will be put
in by many car debtor roads and con-

they do not grant a reduced rate and
a compromise is not made then the
