deathvof Mrs. Bessie Bowman, wife
of Walter Bowman, at St. Joseph‘s
Hospital in this city, last night, has
led to an effort on the part of the
Btonington, Conn., officers to learn the
whereabouts of a female nurse of
Philadelphia, who was employed to
care for Mrs. Bowman when othe lat-
ter gave‘birth to twins at her home in
Pawtucket, a, village near Westerly, on
husband as told to the police, he re-
turned from his work last Monday to
room with the nurse, who apparently
had been drinking, clutching at her
threat in an attempt to strangle her.
Later Mrs. Bowman was removed to
the hospital here.
