the pressure of a selling movement
which began last week. A violent dc-

closing prices of Saturday, was shown
by the first quotations. The Pacific
group of stocks were the greatest suf-
ferers, Northern Pacific quickly selling
off five points while losses of 3 or‘
more poillts were scored in Canadian
Pacific, Union Pacific and Missouri
Pacific. Other heavy losers were Balti~
more and Ohio, Louisville and Nashvil-
le and Southern Pacific. Losses of two
