phoned him that the water company
would not stand for or accept any am-
enthncnts. This in the opinion of Mr.
Allorton, could be taken to mean only
that the. New Haven Wutcnr Company
considered itself greater than the gen-
eral assembly.
The house refused to reconsider its
action in rejecting the bill relating to
Sunday observance.
A favorable report. was made on am-
mendment to the charter of New Bri-
tain concerning subways; and sevco
