Several lots of Christmas trees have arrived in this city and are being de- livered to dealers. These trees are from the Woods of Maine and Nova Scotln. A few are brought in from the OdIrondncks. although the forests in that region have been pretty well out of those miniature trees. Up in Maine on some farms they are glad to get rid of these trees which grow up in the pastures as wall as in woods. An agent will go through a section and give the farmers five cents for each tree and remove them. They are hauled to the railroad and ship- ped to the cities. where they command ready sales at a fair profit. it is probable this several hundred Christmas trees will housed in Nor- walk this month. Their use is on the increase. Christmas greens are al- ready on sale. and larger quantities will come In within the next few days, much of the stock coming from the northern part of the town and from New York state.
