William Benjamin had a rather
startling experience last evening at
the Ischotla (‘lub house. He was sit-

suddenly here was a shock like the
San Francisco earthquake, and the
floor of that part of the room where
he was sitting went down about three
feet. As It was nearly high tide, Mr.
Benjamin got quite wot. lie was con-

Investigation. however. showed that
the steamer Mildred, while taking a
barge. into the Radel slip. had rammed
the. dock quite hard. and as the por-

blocked up..the shock had knocked the
stipport from under it.
