October 3, 1828 to July 8, 1829. Wil-
liam Lloyd Garrison of "Boston, the
abolitionist. published The Journal of
the Times. Those who have the
project In handyhave communicated
with some of the garrisons relatives
to obtain a concensus of opinion rela-
tive to the form the memorial should
take, and from letters received, a
plan has been outlined for a rough
faced granite boulder, with one
smooth face for the inscription.
As the spot where the Journal of
the Times office stood In private prev
perty, permission has been obtained
from the village trustees to place the
marker on the conunon. only a few
feet away from the site of the office.
There Is in the local library a com-
plete bound file of the Journal during
the time that it was published by Gar-
rison. it was a four page paper set
in solid condensed type with but lit-
tle advertising.

More than Popular Opinion."
