Rev. and Mrs. Robert Duncan, of
Stepney, who were in attendance at
the Fairfield County Baptist Associa-
tion gathering this week, were enter-
tained by Mr. and Mrs. B. Arthur Grif-
fin, at their new residence in Howey-
ton avenue. Wednesday night Mrs.
Duncan was taken seriously ill, and it
was necessary to attend her through-
out the night. Yesterduy she had im~
proved somewhat, and felt able to go
to her home.
Morrison Dauchey, who left town
last week in company with Bennie
Washburn. who has made his home
at Captain Edward H. Smith’s for
some time, has been heard from. He
has written a letter to his parents, in
which he tells of the travels of the
lads since they left Rowayton. They
went first to Bound Brook, New Jet"
sey. where Dauchcy has an uncle, and
they remained there a. time, and then
they went to Philadelphia and Harris
burg by freight train. and after sce-
iug the sights of those and other cities,
landed in Brockton, New York. Here
they secured work in the vineyards of
the farmers in that. place. and they in-
tend to remain throughout the winter.
