at sea of four members of the crew of
the Mexican schooner Morales by the
British steamer Roselleld. which ur-
rtved here today. discloses the tact
that. the Morales foundered on Sep-
tember 16. am that her captain, .mate
and three seamen Were drowned. The
rescued sailors who are Masonite in-
dians. were. picked up while they were
clinging to a raft. improvised from
lumber, in Laiitute 19:30. Longitude
91.22. One of the men was crazed
from drinking salt water. The Mora-
les was bound from Cnmpeche for
Tuxpan with a cargo of salt and him-
hcrs. From the survivors it was learn-
ed that. the ship wentdnwn on the
annulus of September 16 in a hurri-
cane after a terrific blow of 16 hours.
The four sailors alone were able to

moment saw several big snakes com-
ing for hint. He slammed the door
and after recovering from the shock
gathered a squad of men and collected
the snakes. They escaped from a
box during the night and one big rat-
tler is still at large. The snakes were
