When curiosity last Wednesday was
at foyer heat concerning the unheard
of rainbow, or halo, around the sun.
The Bridgeport Post took evry possi-
ble means to relieve the public mind.
it communicated with the Yale obser-
vatory and also - telegraphed Horace
Johnson, the-sage of Middle Haddam,
who is supposed to know about every-
thing.
Mr. Johnson was away from home
at the time, but yesterday The Post re-
ceived a letter from him, in which he
diagnoses the phenomenon and also
tacks on a sinister prophecy. This is
