with the total destruction by fire of'
the Klsslmeo llotel. situated in a
beautiful coIIntIy section of Florida.
18 miles from Otlando. on Thursday of
last work. if. C. Chapman. formerly
proprietor of the Bencbside ion at.
Grccns Farms, was the proprlctor and
owner. Although the hostelry which
was originally one of the Plant system
of southern hotels. was one of the fin
est in Florida. with acctnnnIodutions
for between 17:3 and 200 guests. Mr.
Chapman carried an insurance of only
312.000. The structure. with its furni-
ture, was worth over $25,000.
The hotel had been throngctl with
guests a week before, and although
the early part of thc season had been
lighl. the closing weeks more than
made up for the small business of the
opening months. At the time of the
fire. however. there were but II few
guesls. and all succeeded in escaping,
but sillllt' suffered the loss of their be;
longings. After the manner of’ most
