ial meeting of the members of the
New Haven county bar in the Super-
ior Court yesterday. William G, Wal-
dron. or Merideu. who appeared with
others as an applicant fer permis-
sion to take the Star Bar examina-
tion at Hartford next week, was de-
clared unfit to practice before the bar,
and on motion of State Attorney Wil-
liam his name was dropped from the
list. Mr. Williams made the motion
as chairman of a committee appointed
to determine the moral fitness of the
applicants. The other members of
the committee are James H. Webb. of
this city John P. Kellogg. of Water-
bury, an eGorge 8. Pay. of Meriden.
Mr. Williams gave no speciilc inform-
ation as to why Mr, Waidron was re-
.iected. None of the lawyers present
could rrecall such action was ever be-
fore, taken here in reference to an ap-
plicant. .
, Mn-Waldron is 28 years old_ and
studied for awhile in Yale. afterward
entering a low allies in Meriden. The
list of applicants whose names were
approved by the meeting includes
Frederick C. Banby. Joseph H. Reid;
Davids. Rlvkin and George A. Bio-
