The fire, it is believed. started from
11. hot cinder from a freight train.
which passed over the bridge an hour-
beioro fire fire was discovered. in a
very few moments the whole span was
ablaze, the old wooden frame work
being eaten up by the flames like
shavings.
The bridge was about 600 feet long
and all that remains are the. \raiis.
which are suspended across the river.
The bridge was built about twelliy-ilvc

riety. the rails being at the top with a
boxed framework below.
