Mrs. Holly is a woman of 62 years.
Her husband is 13 years her junior.
She married him on July 17. 1878 at
Pound Ridge. a justice of the peace
performing the ceremony. The bus-
band at that time was only 18 years
old.
Mrs. Holly came before his honor
and told him that she had always
lived happily with her husband up to
1902, At that time they proposed to
move from New Canaan to East Nor-
walk. The husband was willing, but
after they moved he did not go with
her. She wrote to him follr times-but
,roceived no reply. Later she heard he
was boarding with a woman with
whom he had been friendly in New
Canaan. She did not. make any fur-
ther effort to get him to return.
Judge Wheeler’s Questions.
After telling her story she was un-
iler the usual searching fire of ques-
tions which Judge Wheeler directs at
applicants for divorce. From the evi-
dence it seemed as though the parties
might have come to an agreement
that the wife should get a divorce and
Judge Wheeler‘s questions were aimed
in that direction.
“Why do you want a divorce,
madam " he asked. -
“Well. he will not do anything for

Sixty-three Received by the County
Commissioners in Norwalk.
Sixty-three applications for licenses
were. received yesterday by the county
commissioners during their session at
the town court room in Wall street.
from 10 a, ill. until 8 p. in. There re-
main about ten dealers who have not
yet made application. All of these
will be obliged. if they desire a license
for the coming your, to go to Bridge
port and apply for it. The commis-
sioners have made a rule that they
will receive no applications by mail.
Among the applications that came in
yesterday afternoon while the commis-
sioners were here was that of Joseph
Discssa for a hotel license at 2 null 4
(‘hesiuut street. South Norwalk. Mr.
Disessa had previously applied f0i- a
license from the Monroe street side.
Below is given a list of the applica-

captivity of a close stall, charged the
old man, who was powerless to escape.
