story of whose arrest last. night. In
told in another column. had a hearty
laugh this morning in North Main
street, in spite of the fact that she
had contributed ten nameleons to the
coffers of the town court. Mr. "Annie
Brown,” or whatever his name is. had
been putting in a strenuous night. The
early part of the night he drank to
drown his sorrow, but. when Annie
was released on bail be commenced to
drink because he felt so overjoyed at
the sight of her pyroxide locks again.
This morning he drank some .more
because he felt bad. Annie was do-
ing a little shopping in North Main
street and her man was waiting for
her outside. He was standing on the
sidewalk ruminating when
be commenced to back and back and
b ck. He backed until he struck a
h g packing case. on the edge of the
curb. He sat down in it rather titt-
ceremonlously. The,top of the box
inst. fitted the width of his hips. He
struggled to get. out, but the more he
struggled the further down in the box
he slipped until finally only a pair of
feet and a much bewildered face pro-
truded above the box. Annie saw the
plight into which “her man" had full.

He was finally assisted out of the
box and the pair went down Railroad
Place together.

The Sentinel yesterday told of an
accident to Thomas I. Raymond. at
his Hillside rcsidencc. It appears he
started to go frotu one room to an
other upstairs. He. did not. have a
light and in the darkness tripped over
something and was thrown headlong
down a flight of stairs. He was bad-
ly shaken up and was out. about the
face. besides sustaining several so
