SERIOUS FIRE IN HARTFORD.
HARTFORD. August 21.—-A very
stubborn fire whichfor hours baffled
the firemen. destroyed the, stock of
hay and grain of the L C. Daniels
company, in the northern part of the
city 10-day. The, tire probably caught
from defective electric wires and it
communicated to about fifty tons of
hayd. The stock lost was worth about
810,000 and the building, which was
four stories in height and of brick,
was damaged to the extent of $1, 000
The losses are probably covered by
insurance
