evening prove stormy the meeting will
be held in the house, where there is

morning one of the chickens squeezed
under the dividing fence and the irate
Mr. Palmer seized n gun and shot the
chicken through and through. it

Mr. Palmer had no right to shoot

of 150 delegates were in the ball when
the annual state convention of the Dr-
der of Harugari of Connecticut opened
yesterday. The forenoon was given
up to routine business and the instal:
lation of the newly elected grand om-
cers. These officers were as follows:

Mischier, Meriden; G. Treasurer, John
Row, New Britain. The report. of the
grand secretary showed that the pre-
