William Roberts, a resident of
Sound Ilcach. clghty~six years old, was
found drowned on the shore. of the
Sound. near his home, Sunday after-
noon. ()wing to his advanced age. and
a temporary illness. hc wandered In a
dazed condition, the night, before, and,
becoming confused. walked Into the
shallow water, where his body was ill-
tcrward found.
It was learned this afternoon that
Mr. Roberts suit-tiled. it appears that
he entered a row boat and rowcd out
some distance. from the shore, that
then he made fast ain‘iul his neck a
rope. attached to which was a heavy

body did not come to the surface un-
