Willie sailing Sunday morning in a
small lurk owned by him. Vernon
Jarboe. of Bell Island, and a. couple
of young men who are from New York,
upset in a strong puff of wind off the
east beach of the island. They were
precipitated Into the water and It
was with the greatest difficulty that
they succeeded In keeping a hold upon
the little craft. Fortunately Henry
Rowland, of the launch Thelma, saw
their plight and went out to them.
The lurk was towed to shore and
right and the shipwrecked mariners
were found to be none the worse for
their wetting. ‘
During the sweltering days of last
woek Dorlon'a Point: was crowded
with bothers and one afternoon a fat
man with a shiny pate.- as bare as his
feet, accompanied by a. fox terrier
