The railroad committee considered

Hartford. Mlddletown and New Haven
campany and the East Hartford, East
Windsor Hill and Manchester Tram-
way Company. The former proposes
to construct a trolley line from Weth-'
ersfleld to New Haven by way of Miti-
dlatown. Durham and North Branford.
Attorneys Frank I). Haitles. of Middle.-
ttown, and Cornelius J. Danaher, ot’
Merlden, appeared in behalf of the. pa
titloners. The latter company asks
pbrmission to build a connecting road
between the Hartford Street Railway
Company, through Wapplng and Oak-
land to a connection with the Hartford,
:Rockvilie and Manchester Street Rail-
way.
Senator Bradstreet, chairman of the
committee, reluctantly granted it post-
ponemeni for two weeks on the bear
sing on the petition for the. incorpora-
tion‘of the Hartford and Mltldlctowu
Tramway Company of Hartford with a
capital stock of $1.000_000, which pro-
posses 1. construct a trolley road from
the end of Franklin avenue. this city.
through Wethersiicld. Rocky Hill and
Cromwell to Mlddletown. Attorney
Augustine Louergnn. of Hartford. who
appeared for persons outside the. statc
who are interested ill the proposed
road, said that his clients found it im-
possible to be on hand today.

saw him at tho jail he denied having
ever been the razor but later admitted
it. He said it had hccu given to hilll
by Henry Schulta not] another fellow.
A warrant was drawn up for the ar-
rest. of Schultz and he was arrested
last night. Schultz admits having giv-
en the razor to llattlcy but says that
the razor was given to hint by Charles
Heckcr who is now dead.
The cases will be tried tomorrow
morning.
