against 97.1, plurality for h-‘lcliinlcy in 1900.
The vote in the First District of the town (l\111wnlh) aceoin~
plished the election of Jeremiah Donovan, of South Norwalk. as
state senator. Every other district was carried for Joseph R. Tay-
lor, but Mr. Donovan’s overwhelming 111ajorily in the First Dis—
trict brought about the latter's victory.
Congressman Ebei zer J. Hill can well feel proud of the big
gains his own town gave him. Mr. iiill's plurality over his 011va
nent, Edward 1" Hallcn, of Br'idgepoit in Norwalk. 11115 995 as

against 427 in 1902, when Bishop was the Democratic candidate.-
