Harvard met this afternoon on Yale
Field for the annual Yale commence-
ment baseball game. the second of the
championship series this year. Har-
vard won the game last Thursday In
Cambridge. but hopes were high
among Yale men that the wearers of
(tine blue would carry off the honors to-
ay.
Long before the hour of the game.
thousands of graduates wended their
way by classes to the field. either on
foot or by special trolley ears, many of
them being accompanied by brass
bands. All of the younger classes of
alumni which have special reunions
this year. marched through Chapel
street to the field. singing and cheer-
ing. in fantastic uniforms. The i90i
Sheffield men Wore. uniforms of dark
brown nil cloth with feather trimming
along the seams and ludlan Head dress
also of feathers; the class of 1001 had
yellow oilsklns and sou'westers with
a big blue Y on their backs. and the
class of 1808 frock coats anti trousers
guished manily by badges or buttons
and chimney pot hats of the style at
line. 'ihe older classes were distin-
guished mainly badges or buttons with
with class numerals.
At the field there was the customary
march in review before the six thou
sand people in the grand stands. the
more. enthusiastic graduates giving the
serpentine dance and cavorting like
frolicsomc boys.

back window of a boarding house to
the roof of an adjoining building as

They were located in another boarding
