tractors of New York City.
STAMFORD. June 17.—Ben.iamin
llewls, aged eighty years. died at his
residence here during last night. Mr.
Lewis was a native of Utica, N. Y., and
up to seventeen years ago. when he
retired from active business. was one
of the leading contracrors in New
York city. He was possessed of con-
slderahie property and was a promi-
nent member of the Universalist
Church. A personal friend of the do
ceased said today that in his will he
has left the following public bequests:
$5, 000 to Stamford Universalist
Church. 310,000 to iMsslon of the Uni-
versallst General Conference. and $2.-
000 to Stamford's Children’s Home.
His nearest living relative is a nap
