Dorris Wamcke, one of Wilton's most
progressive farmers. introduced a new
kink after the snow storm of Friday
last. Bright and early Saturday
morning he appeared on the main
street with his big team of horses
hitched to his heavy lleid roller. for
packing the snow and leveling drifts.
it proved far ahead of any snow plow
and was a great convenience to all
travelers. particularly pedestrians.
When he came to a drift too deep for
the horses he turned the roller around
fastened the evener to the. ends of the
pole and let the horses forcc the roller
through in front of them. The scheme
seems feasible and would save large
amounts for the town if it will work

street. crossing. this city yesterday. The
