The monthly business meeting of tho
Epworth League. held at the First
Methodist Church Monday. evening.
was well attended. After the business
session the members enjoyed a very
interesting program prepared by the
social department.
Miss Bessie Semple gave. a piano
solo. An original song. composed by
(.3. Raymond Robinson, was sung as a
trio by Messrs. Robinson. Clarence
Brown and .l. W. Seinple. They were
heartily encored and responded with. a
duet by Messrs. Robinson and Brown. .
A piano .iiiei was given by the Miss.
es Miller. This was followed with a
vocal solo by John W. Semple. which
was rendered in his usual line style. A
trio by Messrs. Robinson. Brown and
Semple closed the entertainment and
the artists were given a rote of thanks.
The piano accompanist was Miss May
Fallon.
It was voted that it. was the sense
of the League that the pledge should be
continued as it had been in the past~
not obligatory. but as the aim and pur-
pose of the institution. The League
