HELD ON BURGLARY CHARGE.
John Bruton. of Wallingford. Under
3500 Bonds.
WALLINGFORD. October Elli-John
Bruton was held for the Superior
Court today, on the charge of burglary.
and his bond was fixed at $300. which
he was unable to furnish ltruton is
accused of breaking into the saloon of
Edward Gardiner. on October 24, 1901.
The principal witness against him was
James Donohpe. who pleaded guilty.
and was bound over a week ago. on the
same charge. Donahue was brought
from the county jail to the court room
and testified that. Bruton was with him
when the burglary was committed.
Britten denied vehemently that be was
with Donahue, 0!“th he k‘cw any-
thing abont the break. to default of
ball, Bruton waa‘taken back to the
jail. where he has been serving a sen-
tence for another offense.
