court yesterday on the charge of bur-
lary and were held until August 25
or trial under bonds of $500. The men
were arrested yesterday on suspicion
of being the perpetrators of numerous
burglaries which have been committed
in this city during the past. week or
so. Both men have been identified
by persons whose homes have been
visited.
This afternoon the police searched
McCarthy's house and there found a
considerable quantity of silverware
and other property which has been
stolen in various places. Russell's
home will be searched later.
