NEW YORK, July lG—Sir Thomas
Lipton's steam yacht Erin left her an-
chorage off Thirty~flfth street, North
River. at 8:30 a. m.. today, for Sandy
Hook. to take the Shamrocks out for
another spin. A ten knot westerly
wind and clear skies gave promise of
fine racing, 1 Both Shamrocks, under
'heir own sail. met the Erin at the
point of the Hook. and passed out
through the channel toward the light-
ship.

the new challenger ran away from the
