his great surprise he found that most
of his household effects. including
trio-a-brac, glassware. . pictures. and

lathrop tore up some of the carpets.

Only a Few to be Had.
Mr. Lathrop succeeded in getting one

Friends of Mrs. bathrop claim that
when her husband left her a few weeks

damages is said to have prompted him

believed that Mr. Rlddle'e instruc-
tions are to notify the Russian govern-
ment of the existence of the petition
and ascertain whether It Is willing to
receive it. The Jewish committee, it
is stated. Is entirely satisfied with the
