on trial yesterday In Wesipori before 3
Justice of the Peace Samuel A. Pur-
dy as a result of the extremely serious
offence of selling off lire crackers on
the Fourth of July. The young man .
was placed under arrest by Deputy
Sheriff Kenipcr.
There was a formidable array of
charges against young llefllilc when
the case came up. consisting of breach
of the peace. firing off lll‘t‘ crackers
before lawful hours. and resisting an
olilccr. lie was defended by Attorney
John J. Walsh, of Norwalk.
Tile justice of ihe peace found him
guilty of resisting an officer, lining
him 31 and costs. The defence Ini-
ntedlaleiy took an appeal. A bond
fixer at. $100 was furnished by Homer
S. Beers.
