ed to the strongest pressure. selling off
to 118% during the morning session.
This is a decline of 6% points from
yesterday's opening. Further weakness
was shown by the steel stocks. In
which dealings were heavy. There
were rumors of unfavorable develop-
ments in the corporation's affairs. but
these. reports were not confirmed. Steel
common at 28%. and the five, per cent.
bonds at 81. registered new low records
since May 9, 1901. Other stocks that

displayed a marked sagging tendency,

declining front 1% to 7 per cent were
the PRCINCB, Atellisou, St. Paul. Road-
ing. Pennsylvania. Amalgamated Cop-
per. Laki- i<2rie and Western Preferred.
