‘WESTPORT CHURCH CELEBRATES
KFortieth Anniversary to be Held In Me-
morial Church of HOIy Trinity.
While Westpoi‘t cannot have any old
home week celebration it will havo a
gathering on Tuesday much along
those lines, in the celebration of the
fortieth anniversary of the consecra-
tion’ of the Memorial Church of the
Holy .Trinity, The last celebration of
the consecration of this church was
held June 301h. 1888. under the direct
ionof the Rev. A. N. Lewis. who was
then the. rector of the parish.
Besides the genial invitation which
has been extended to the members of
the local churches, one hundred and
fifty invitations have been issued 10
former rectors and purisiioners and
also to the various clergy. William 1..
Taylor, chairman of the committee 11f
arrangements has received the. accept,-
ances of over a hundred and by the
end of the week probably every invi-
tation will be heard from,
Over forty clergymen have signified
their intention of being present.
Among those will be Rev. William Hen-
ry Benjamin, who was rector of 'l'i‘iil'
ity Church 1862 and 18114. Mr. Benin
min was the second rector of the par-
ish. His home is now at erIligiIIilvtillv
the-Hudson. While in Weslport. Mr.

DEATH OF MRS. CATHERINE ROG-
ERs.
Mrs. Catherine Rogers died last night
at her home in Chapel street, aged
about sixty years. She is survived by
her husband and three children, Anna.

day morning at 9 o'clock. Mrs. Rog-
ers, who was ill about seven weeks.
