TROUBLE AT MANZANILLO.
SAN FRANCISCO, June 27—The
steamer Peru from the Mexican coast
brings news of trouble at Manzanillo
on board the Ching We. of the China
Commercial steamship line, which has
as its primal purpose the colonization
of Mexico with Chinese. The lives of
the captain and oflicers were threaten-
ed by a mob of 850 angry Chinese and
only the presence of soldiers has me
vented bloodshed. Several Chinese
were injured and the leaders of the re-
volt were placed under arrest.
