The Hot Air Social Club held their
"blow-out," long and eagerly looked
forward ‘to,‘ Saturday evening, in; the-
vacant Epstein store in Fort street.
About twenty-live members of the fa-
mous club and their friends gathered“
snddlled the two 'Aloug tables‘that had
been set in the center of.,the room to
overflowing. Then they set to work
to demolish the turkey that had been
roasted to the “queen's taste,” and a
long list of delicious accessories. After
feasting the body there was feast for
the mind. William R. Gilbert was
there with his violin and delighted his
hearers with solos and later with a
vocal solo, accompanying it with his
famous dance; Sam Hull’sang, accom-
panies by Mr. Gilbert on the violin.
and then the Hot Air Quartette were
heard in several selections. Frank
Precce also sang and danced and the
Carr Brothers did the same. the affair
breaking up about midnight, everyone
voting it the best yeLheld. .' .
The Swedish Evangelical Mission
Church in Danbury held a special meet-
ing Tuesday night'to take action on
the resignation of its pastor. Rev. RA.
Lindholm, who has been in charge or
the church about a year. Mound-
holm recently received a call‘to the
pastorateof a swedleh churchin Wisv
cousin. it came to him unsciiclted and
he decided, after much consideration.
to accept it. He thereupon presented
his resignation to the church, but the
church at first refused to accept it Al‘-
tcrward, when Mr. Lindholm pressed
the resignation the church of necessity
accepted it. The church then decided
if Mr. Liudholm left not to call a pas-
tor, but to disbund, and influential
members of the denomination in that
vicinity prevailed upon him to, recon-
sidor the resignation. The Church
therefore met and formally extended
a call to Mr. Lindholm to continue to
be the pastor of the church. He is
now considering the call. Mr. Lind-
holm is well known among the Swed-
ish Congregationalism of East Nor-
wulk. -
