to suppress the liquor traihc. The in-
cldent shows to what extent voters
will go when when they get mad for
it was auger and greed not temperance
and morality that controlled the mo-
tives of the Torringion people. The
motives or the mihority. which acted
with the majority were unimpeachable
but it was another and striking in-
stance of politics making strange bed-4
