latter was making an effort to get one
for Miss Florence Hamilton. who has
just secured a position as Monograph-
el and ty penriter in the office. Mr.
Curtis tried the key from the outside
of the door and consequently he wits
locked out and Miss hamilton inside.
He worked at the lock for some time
and could not even get the key out
so that one of the regular keys could
be used. He finally summoned Wil-
liam H. Byiagton. and he came to his
assistance. accompanied by Attorney
Harry Sherwood. or Westpori. who
has an office with Mr. Bylngton. They
secured a screw driver and Mr. Bring-
ton followed by Mr Sherwood. climb-
ed along the cornice of the building
from their office to Mr. Walah' s allies
and went in through the window. They
soon succeeded in opening the door.
but in the meantime nearly all the oc-
cunauts of the different offices in the
building had gathered in the hallway
and the afiair caused no small amount
of morrimenf.
