The month of October has been one
of the heaviest in freight traffic in the
history of the Consolidated railroad.
according to an authority whos busi-

freight department of this road.

freight traffic. has so far exceeded any
previous record that there is little
knowing what status the figures will
reach before the remaining days of the
month have passed.

The county commissioners

New Canaan made a grand rush to
get in out of the wet Saturday. They

that way. The Rev. Mr. Bell of con-
siderable notoriety was very active in
that town, but the vote was for license

The saloon keepers. hawovar. had
an idea that there would'ba some re-
