Georgia peaches are finishing up at

and thirteen cents a basket, with tho
cheaper peaches selling at two baskets
for a quarter. The few natives on
the market are premature and lack the
flavor of the fully matured peach
which will be seen on the market the
latter part of this month.
Present indications are that the crop
of this year in Connecticut will be
the largest over produced. A conserv-
atIVe estimate places the crop at half
a million baskets. This it must be
remembered would have been much
more were it not for the heroic mess-
ures used by the growers to get a
good sized peach Thousands of bask
