at the closing last night, the stock
market opened 10mm llably quiet this
morning. Americans in the London
market this morning, reflected the re-
actionary tendency, and the majority
of stocks showed moderate declines at
the opening here, but there were some
notable advances amongst the special-
ties and a sprinkling of gains amongst
the railroads. Tennessee Coal open-
ed up 164. but reacted 1%. and the sell-
ing pressure showed some increase in
the secondary transactions. Ameri-
can Linseed Oil preferred dropped filt-
points.
