The storm of Feb. 12 gave employ-
ment to 6,400 men in New York city,
at a cost of 12 cents an hour apiece to

has for its text anti-imperialism, and
not free silver. This makes it appear
that Mr. Bryan, shrewd politician that
he is, has read the signs of the times
and found that the silver issue is dead,
while the imperialism issue is very
much alive and growing in importance
as the people think it over. He is pre-
pared to guide their thoughts as far
as they will follow him—Philadelphia

If anyone can point out a good rea-
son why the Consolidated road should
be prohibited from running its trains
between the hours of 10 a. on. and 3 p.
m. on Sunday when the trolley roads
all over the state are' in continuous
operation he should speak up. If the
legislature actsrjustly it will remove
the prohibition on the steam roads'of
ithe state and give them equal privi-
