A Special meeting is to be held in the Con-

School House. The first question to be con
sidcr'cd is the matter- -of reducing the ex-

mit‘ 'any practicable plan for securing this
result without imparing‘the efficiency of the
School, it will undoubtedly be unanimously
adopted, but if the School must sufi‘er by
such abtion we doubt not the people will
objectand decide to continue as at present.
The people generally are, proud of their

rate. The secondariestion is thematter ol
selling that portion of the real estate cf the
district fronting on Main street. We under—
stand the desire ofthe petitioners is to sell
