of the Travelers Insurance Company ofHart-
ford entered. thecar, and having issued tick-
ets to several passen ere, approached an el-
derly lady, who, it a erward appeared, was-

accidents ?" inquired the agent, at the same
time exhibiting his tickets.

"I got my ticket down to Kenosha.”

cently, a noted wag found himself in the
course of the evening, in general conversa-
tion with a nervous looking stranger. Point-

possessed with the ideathat he must bite off

The expression of horror that spread over
the face of the nervous man clearly proved
that he had heard the warning. A little la-
ter the benevolent informant got opportuni-
