gain under the tail, thin mama, and a little
faded out, star in the forehead, one white
hind foot, from 10 to 12 years of "age ; also 9.

and patent whip socket, silver-plated hubs,
and blue broadclOth cushion. The Harness
is one of S. Swan’s make, silver-plated ter-
rets and hook, dutch collar, round traces,
one silver ornament on head-stall—the oth-
er off; head-piece of the bridle, red, white
and blue;the maker’s name on the breeching.
The man taking the horse from the stable,
is dark complexioned, well built, about 5
feet 10 inches high, weighs about 175 lbs.,
has a scar on right cheek near the ear, and
wore at the time a black coat, dark plaid
pants, woolen undershirt, and light neck-tie.
A REWARD of $100 will be paid for in-
formation leading to detection and convict-
tion of the thief and return of property, or

Y reference to No. 49069, at the Patent
Office, it will be seen that the subscriber
has secured a Patentjor making good Paper
of Sedge. As diffusion of knowledge was-sud
is, the prompting motive fondle time and
money, 'as well as labOr hehas bestowod up-
on it, he is anxious that the world shall reap
the greatest benefits.
To secure this he proposes to organize four,
five 'or. six strong Companies, each compe-
tent to convert twenty or thirty tons of Sedgo
into as many thousand lbs. of good “ half
stufi" per day. Locating one. in the vicinity
of Boston, another between New York and
Philadelphia, a third at' New Orleans, a
fourth on the upper waters of. the Missisip-
pi or Missouri, and one or two on the West
Coast. These companies to put up Boilers,
Beating Engines, and Bleach Vats, sufficient
to supply the Paper Makers in‘lheir several
localities with all the. “half stuff” they need,
well-bleached. Which they will be able to do
on such terms as to bring good news paper-
back to ten cents, and the government tax.
He proposes to create a Stock of Two Hun-
dred Thousand Shares at a par value of $10
per share. One half of this stock to be sold
to original purchasers at $2 50 per share. One
dime per share to be paid in, and invested at
each locality in providing such appliances to
will make not less than one thousand lbs., of
half stuff or binders board per day. Aasoon
as this can be put in operation and it is dem-
onstrated that they will produce goods to the
extent of $25 per day, and that each thou-
sand dollars invested will make Twenty Five
Dollars worth of goods per day, at a profit of
one cent per lb. then the balance of the $2.50
per share shall be paid in and invested in ad-
dittional appliances, and those appliancesto
be used for the account of the entire stock.
And it will then be optional with those who
hold the first stocks to buy ,in the reserve
stocks at $5 per share, or leave them in the
hands of the Patantee. All the purchase
money claimed by the Patentee, from each
company, will be that they repay him their
proportion of One Thoosand Dollars which
he has expended in the prosecution of these
experiments within the last two years.
He will sell this company the entire Pat-
ent, on the above stated terms. The parties
securing the first stocks not to sell to outside
parties less than par. He will give to a Trus.
tee from each of these Companies all the de-
tails Of the several paocesses in prepairin
and bleaching the material, and will atten
personally to the putting up of the necessary
machinery, for each, at a fair consideration
for his time.
As it is a matter in which all Paper Ma-
kers, Publishers, Printers and Book Binders
are interested, he invites the members of
these professions or callings to become Stock-
holders and managers of the several compile
nies. And all publishers of periodicals
having a circulation of not less than One
Thousand, and shall subscribe forono hun-
hundred shares, on the terms before promd,
shall be entitled to a premium of one share °
and for each subscriber for one thoussn
shares, to a premium of ten shares; on two
thousand five hundred shares, thirty-seven
shares; and for five thousand or any number
exceeding, two shares upon one hundred.

York, Philadelphia, Boston, New Orleans,
St. Louis, St. Patti, &c., due.
The Company will be legally organized b
the enrollment of the names of the first Ten
subscribers for five hundred shares or more,
as corporators, to meet at such place as will
be most convenient. The patent to be con-
veyed to them in trust for the compan .-
They to call a general meeting of the It -
holders as soon as one-fourth of the stock In
market is subscribed for. This meeting will
decide whether to organize a number of in-
dependent companies or to manage the gen-
eral concern by representatives from each Io-
cality. But in either case arrangements will
be made so that the price of goods produced
will be uniform. '
Supplimentary to this, the Patentee wlll
organize a Foreign Association, to obtain
Patents and Royalties in all foreign landl.
And to furnish in addition to Paper Stock;
Paper-making and Printing Machine , in-
troducing a Printing Press .that w’ for a
certainty print three impressrons, upon an
sheet, as quick as any_ other fast press w
print one of the same Size.
“ We whose names are annexed agree to
take the number of shares affixed ; upon tho
terms above stated, and to deposit the first
installment of one dime per share at

Publishers of periodicals who give this
insertions, and forward, willbe enti-
tled to shares. ,
He would call the attention both of capi-
talists who would-invest money profitably;
and of enterprising young men of good‘ad-
dress, who wishfor the opportunity to plant
useful institutions of all descriptions over
the whole earth. This may through this
agency, be affected (as a money-making busi-
ness) within five years.
