shall pay an annual tax into the treasury of
the town where such dogs are kept, to be
collected with and in the same manner as
the ordinary town taxe of One Dollar per
head for every male 0 , and two dollars
per head for every female. dog or slut, and
the Selectmen of no town in this State shall
have power to abate any legal tax on (1038,
except upon satisfactory proof that such dog
has been killed.” The above law will be

BY authority of the Secretary of the
Treasury, this Bank will receive sub-
scriptions on account of the Ten-Forty Na-
tional Loan.
Bonds will be dated March 1st redeema-
ble after Ten and payable Forty Years from
date, with interest at the rate of five per
cent. per annum, interest and principal pay-
able in coin.
It is left optional with subscribers either to
ay interest from March 1st, adding thereto
limtil further notice,) a premium of 50 per
cent, or they may receive their Bonds draw-
ing interest from the date of their subscrip-
