II. Each accepted vol iiiitccr shall he paid
bythe United States, in addition to the rcgtr-
lar pay and allowances, a llouiity and Pro—
mium of Three Hundred and Two Dollars

P($302.00,) receiving, at time of. muster, Sixty

Dollars ($60.00,) and the balance in install-
ments during his term of service. He shall
also be paid by the State of Connecticut:

_I. Pursuant to orders from the War De-
partment, the Commander-in-Chief directs
fithat volunteers; be accepted and mustered
1 into segvice,‘ sufficient to organize a regiment
of Infantry to be designated as the 29th
Regiment ‘Conn. Volunteers, (colored,) to
some for three years or during the war.

II. Alb regularly appointed recruiting
agents are hereby authorized to procure
“able-bodied colored volunteers, between the

ages of eighteenand forty~five, and deliver.
'them at the offices of the various Provost

for‘éthe‘enlistm'ent of other volunteers.

III. For each volunteer who shall be ac-
cepted and ”mustered into service, there shall
"be ‘paid by the Paymaster-Gcneral of Con-

4th—There shall also be paid for the sup—
port and maintenance of his family the sum
of six dollars per month for the wife, if any.

child under fourteen years of age; and in
case there shall be a child or children and
