HE Inhabitants of the Town Of N orwalk are hereby notified and warned, that a special Town Meeting will be held at the Town House in said Norwalk, on Saturday, the 19th day of Sept, 1863, at 4 o’clock after- noon, for the following purposes to wit : To repeal the vote passed on the 1st day Of August 1863, giving to each man drafted, and accepted into the Service of the United States from this Town, the sum of $300. To vote to each inhabitant of this town who is drafted and shall be accepted and shall go into the service of the United States a bounty of $300, to be paid either to him or to his family, as the meeting shall direct. To vote a bounty to substitutes of such drafted men as shall go into the service of the United States and if thought expedi- ent to appoint a Committee to apportion the amount of bounty to such substitutes accor- din to the pecuniary circumstances of such dragted men as may employ them.
