WHEREAS : We the members of'.Co. C,
lst .Regt. Heavy Artillery, learn With sm-
cere and profound grief of the death of our
well beloved fellow soldier and brother, Hen-
ry W. Clark. Therefore in testimony of
,ouresteem and sorrow: _
Resolved : That by his loss we shall miss
from our roll-call, one whose long compan-
ionship, kind heart and noble mind have on-
deared him to our company circle, and we
shall ever cherish the remembrance of his
many manly deedsand generous impulses.
Resolved : That we deeply sympatize with
his family for the loss of a noble member,
aftera two years’ companionship we find
ourselves greatly bereaved, yet theirs must
be the greater sorrow with a lifetime ac-
quaintance with his noble nature. '
Resolocd : That the world has lost in his
person and vigor a great hearted and good;
man, whose voice was often heard upholdr
ing the right and denouncing the wrong;
and-we mingle our tears with those of his
kindred and friends while we bid. him adieu
till the last great reville of the Resurrection.

A STOP PUT TO TOWN BOUNT'IEs. Judge
Sanford, of'the SuperiorCourt, has ranted
an injunction against the town of ashing-
ton, restraining it from paying a bounty to
drafted-men, who were accepted by the Board
of Enrollment.
“' W e find the above erroneous paragraph
going the rounds of the State papers,
founded,.doubtless on a mistaken impress-
which we gave last week. The fact is,
as we stated last week, that Judge San—
ford of the Supreme Court, granted an
injunction restraining the town authori—
ties of Washington from paying the
$300 exemption fee to each man drafted,
but has not enjOiued them from paying
$300 bounty to those “who shall go or
procure a. substitute.”

Youth.
Sores and Ulcers, Blotches and swellings,
